Type

Lets you limit what is selected. For example, you can specify "Callout Lines" to select callout objects only.

Attribute

Shows a list of physical characteristics possible for an object, such as interior fill style, line style, and font size. On the workspace, select an object to base selection on, then in the dialog box select the attributes you want to select by.

Property

The property boxes are enabled if you select Property in Attributes.
In Field, select a field name.
In Value, type the value to select by.

All or Next
Matching Object

Selects all objects on the current page that match the selected properties and attributes, or selects the matching objects one at a time. Click the Select button to select the next matching object (and deselect the first).

Select All/Select

Selects the objects based on the attributes and property values you selected.

Append

Appends newly selected objects with those previously selected, when you are selecting all matching objects.
